Our Featured Artist this month is this month is Robert Austin.
The original drawings that we have for sale were purchased at the Robert Austin studio sale, which was held at Sotheby’s. I have recently added a number of drawings for sale, some of which are studies for his etchings. The drawings are from the 1920’s up to the 1950’s. Most of the nudes are from the 1940’s & 50’s. Fine Art Society had a show of his etchings, drawings and pastels in 2001.
Frank Short taught Robert Austin when he was at Royal College of Art. He received a scholarship to Rome. Upon his return, Robert Austin became one of the major etchers/engravers of the period. Our site is regularly updated. Please be assured that all items listed as ‘for sale’, are for sale. However, we live near Greenwich and Blackheath in London, and if you wish to see an item in the ‘flesh’, you are welcome by appointment and be offered a ‘cup of tea’!

When you choose thumbnails, click it once only and a larger image of the selected print appears with details of dimensions, edition, condition, price etc. at the side of the image.
